Young People

Within the Parish of Dartmouth we take our ministry to our younger people seriously; they are the church of today and the hope of tomorrow.

Our growing ministry to young people is a high priority for us:

  • For them to understand and feel how much God loves them

  • That through the Church, Jesus walks with them from birth, throughout their lives, through death and beyond.

  • To help them come to an informed decision about matters of faith.

Our weekly act of worship – the Eucharist has more of a focus on children and family’s on the first Sunday of the month where our children take a greater part in the service reading and helping. Of course, everyone is welcome at any service on any Sunday – we provide children’s resources in church for children. We are incredibly excited that the numbers of family’s coming along to this service are growing and engaging with their church – your church.

We are currently in the process of drawing a group together within the Parish of Dartmouth to form a Sunday School / Junior Church. We hope to offer a weekly gathering of young people alongside our regular service to meet for age-related liturgy and then to join the rest of the congregation to gather around the altar as the whole people of God.

Throughout the year we also offer a number of fun filled events aimed at our younger congregation, these have included:

Pancake party
Harvest Festival
Good Friday Children’s Workshop
Christmas
Easter Day
Epiphany
Parish Barbeque
Christingle
