Music at Dartmouth

The Director of Music at Dartmouth is Christopher Helyer.
He has been a member of several Cathedral Choirs over a long career as a Cathedral Bass Lay Clerk. Christopher Helyer combine his Parish Commitments with a Full-Time Post at Exeter Cathedral Choir School, where he is Headmaster.

Parish Choirs
The Parish Choir has approximately 30 members - both juniors and seniors - is affiliated to the Royal School of Church Music, and takes part in Diocesan Festivals and Courses.
The Choir sings all our main services; and also major feast-days, and festivals, etc.

The Music Team (Director of Music, Choirs, and Organists) serve the whole Parish - and commute between Saint Clement's Church, Saint Petrox Church and Saint Saviour's Church !

Weekly Rehearsals for Senior Choir is held on Friday Evenings from 7.15pm until 9.00pm - at Saviour's Church during winter months; and at Saint Clement's Church during the Summer.

Junior Rehearsals are held usually every Saturday Morning from 9.30am until 10.40am at Saint Saviour's Church.

New Recruits
Both Junior and Adult Choirs always welcome new members.

Experienced Singers - Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass - visiting Dartmouth from anywhere in the world, are always welcome to sing with the Parish Choir at services.
